Sydney, Australia, Apr. 21, 2009 -- The NSW SES, as a leading first responder agency in the community, has strengthened their preparedness activities throughout the state with innovative Australian developed technology.

Deputy Director General of the NSW SES, Greg Slater announced that the NSW SES  have selected Avalias, a NSW technology company  to provide Avalanche ST a powerful simulation platform to support a wide range of training and exercise initiatives to assist with preparedness for critical incidents.

“This exciting and versatile technology will play an important part in helping our teams to robustly prepare for dealing with major incidents. This technology will strengthen our capability to do so more rigorously.” Mr. Slater said.

Avalanche ST will deliver to the SES a resource that will improve our resilience and we see it as an important investment in our regions through more effective preparation.”

Avalanche ST is innovative technology developed in NSW and is featured in the Department of State and Regional Development ‘Australian Technology Showcase’.  Avalias support various Government customers and are currently also exploring opportunities to export the technology into overseas markets.
